International Food Giant Con Agra Mills recently will announce its latest revolutionary product in the health wellness products industry at the 2007 International Baking Industry Expo. And what is this revolutionary health wellness product? It's a new product called Sustagrain (R). It is an identity-preserved, waxy, hulless variety of barley. It's being touted as the "first whole grain product that is high in dietary fiber, and lower in starch." Con Agra Mills states that almost alone among health wellness products, Sustagrain can be used to enhance the flavor, texture, appearance and nutritional content in a number of different applications. While it's true that all grains contain some fiber, there are many grain-based products that do not have enough fiber to be labelled "a good source of fiber." Sustagrain is different from traditional barley and oats because it boasts a very high fiber content, which makes it an important among health wellness products because it will aid digestive health.
