Studies of the B complex food health vitamins selected by Consumer Lab were found to be lacking of the total amounts of folic acid which is an essential element that is more commonly known as food health vitamin B9. Almost half of the folic acid was lacking in the two products, one which even had a USP verification seal indicating previous testing of its ingredients. Many health wellness products including B complex food health vitamins lack significant amounts of folic acid. And according to the Nutrition Business Journal, these B food health vitamins are one of the top selling health wellness products in the United States with average sales reaching $937 million.
