I suffer from Fibromyalgia and RSD. Both are chronic pain conditions and I'm not sure which is worse. My doctor says the RSD triggers the Fibromyalgia, but I'm not sure. I am constantly looking for a food health vitamin or health wellness products that will help my condition. I am about to try D-Ribose. Can a simple sugar provide relief for people with fibromyalgia and or any kind of chronic pain? Naturally I did some research and will definitely be giving this a shot.

It is well known that people with fibromyalgia have lower levels of the energy molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and a reduced capacity to make ATP in their muscles.  Previous studies show health wellness products like D-ribose can fuel ATP synthesis showing D-ribose really can reduce muscle pain.

A recent study by Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, and Valen Labs assessed the level of relief in symptoms of fatigue and pain; and determining changes in quality of life. 41 people took five grams of D-ribose orally, three times a day, for an average of 28 days. After 28 days, 69 percent who completed the course treatment had significant improvement in their symptoms.
