Finding affordable health insurance may seem like an oxymoron for many, and if you simply cannot afford affordable health insurance for your family, you can look at different types of health plans that may take the bite out of health care without an insurance plan. There are different ways to go about doing this. Some companies network with doctors, dentists, and other health providers to give services to people without insurance at reduced rates. By paying a low monthly fee, people can access doctors and even hospitals at reduced rates, and save some money. A family plan costs about $50 to $80 a month, which is a substantial savings over affordable health insurance, but you will still be responsible for paying the discounted doctor bill, not the insurance company. You can save on prescription drugs with these health discount plan, and hospital stays will be reduced as well. However, if you, or a family member have a disease that needs constant or emergency treatment, you are better off getting affordable health insurance, even if it means working part time from home, in addition to full time elsewhere, or making cuts in the family's entertainment budget. |
