The traditional health insurance or in other words the fee-for-service health insurance is an affordable health insurance which gives members the option of choosing their doctor, hospital and other health care providers. You also have the choice of seeing a specialist without a referral. While this is affordable health insurance, the fee-for-service coverage can sometimes be not what it seems. Usually this kind of affordable health insurance will include more out of your pocket expenses then the more managed care plans. Sometimes the deductibles are high and after the deductible is paid, the insurance company will kick in and pay 80 percent of your bill. Being able to choose which Doctor you want to see is a really nice option but often the insurance company will only pay expenses they deem to be reasonable and customary. Some policies will limit the amount of coverage based on a particular health condition. There is really no one plan that fits everyone so if you are shopping for affordable health insurance be sure to take the time to find the one that best suits your needs.
