The other day I went to Whole Foods just to get some egg white protein powder because no other place carried it and the only one they had was Jay Robbs brand for about $40 for a 30 serving supply. Now, this got me thinking on health wellness products - are they overpriced? I sat down for a moment and thought about what people are selling and what you really need.

Do You Really Need Health Wellness Products?

Not all health wellness products are created equal, I say. Sure, you need your protein powders that are convenient, but what about other stuff?
  • Goji juice/antioxidants - An overpriced berry that is very cheap to harvest and overmarketed. You are better off just getting your requisite 10 veggies/fruits a day.
  • Oxygenated super water - All I have to say is have you ever tried Starbucks' reverse osmosis water (free)?
  • Fiber, vitamins - Get your requisite 10 and you'll be better off in both of these departments.
So, my take is that most stuff that people sell you is a replacement for your laziness not to eat fruits and veggies or have a healthy lifestyle. Get the latter and it will save you money and stress instead!
